The Clerk's Office is at 105 Third Street in downtown Troy. You can visit during business hours to search for records and request copies. Troy is just a short drive across the river from Albany, so the office also gets requests from people in the Capital District who need Rensselaer County records. Staff can assist with searches and copies.
Fees follow the state schedule. Standard copies are 50 cents per page. Certified copies cost $1.25 for the first page, 50 cents for each added page, plus a $5 certification fee. Bring photo ID when getting certified documents. For large requests, call ahead to make sure the staff has time to pull everything together before you arrive.
